솔랭토토Pursuing Toto IV, two of the first users, Hungate and Kimball, departed the band. Hungate was changed on bass by Mike Porcaro, while Kimball was replaced by a quantity of different quick-phrase vocalists, the longest serving of which was Joseph Williams. Immediately after Jeff Porcaro's Demise in 1992, he was changed by Simon Phillips.
